Christmas card rejects!

Here are seven of the photos we WON'T be using for this year's Christmas card...

It looks like May Bee's been sampling the nog in this last photo...

(Thanks to Hannah & Molly for serving as Photographers Extraordinaire this weekend, and to Kirsten, who really CAN turn a sow's ear into a silk purse, for creating this year's card with one of the salvageable pics!)

Look for yours in the mail around Christmas Eve!

Those pics make me laugh, animals are generally much more precocious than children. You look fabulous!

Oh, my goodness! I forgot that a professional photographer might take a look at this blog!

I'll bet it takes a calm demeanor and great internal fortitude to put up with people who want you to photograph their pets. (You got a great one of my friend Martha & her beloved pooch...LOVED the shots you got of her, her mother, her daughter and her canine pal!)

It would be fun to be a fly on the wall when photograph dog lovers like me who want Fido in the picture, no matter how naughty...

Great idea for a post. Hilarious pics! I liked the progression from "happy in chair" to "just take the picture sitting on floor".

Side note...what's up with these word verification's when posting? They're not real words and, on some websites, barely legible. To add my comment here, I'm going to have to type "costyrot". C'mon, who's thinking up these crazy collaboratives? I'll bet it's Anu Garg in his basement late at night, brooding over Merriam-Webster's fame and success.

Ha! SNORT! Great mental image...Anu burning the midnight oil making up new words for AWAD!

And I happen to think "costyrot" sounds perfectly delightful. (I have to go to the beauty salon and HEB later today...I'll toss "costyrot" around and see if it catches on!)

I'll be using "costyrot" in daily conversation today. I have to type "goomic".

This blog post could have been titled "Beauty and the Beast"! I like #3 best--I've seen that look of determination in your face before, and May Bee hasn't got a chance in that fight!

Costyrot? Easy! That's an overpriced Rottweiler. Goomic? That's what Gary Karaoke hands to Jim, the off-key singer, after Jim's attempt at singing "My Way"--a mike covered in goo. Now, I must type "mopmasiv"--a/k/a Mopmas 4, or mop mess number 4. That's what you do after you mop mess number 3 (can you tell that the puppy still has a way to go before he's housebroken?)

Wow. Rebel can go "Number Three?"

(Sorry. It is simply *tragic* that working with 7th graders since 1987 has made me so IMMATURE! You can not say "Number One" or "Number Two" around middle schoolers; it's a fatal mistake. Anything related to the potty makes them---and me--giggle uncontrollably.)

(Oh, wait...maybe I'm just British.)

"Costyrot & Goomic" sounds like a comic strip, and we just celebrated what could be called "Mopmas" at work when the sink overflowed into the surplus Christmas supplies--true story!

I have to type "palagori" which will be the name of my next dog, in keeping with the theme of this post.

Like Russell, I loved the idea of posting the "outtakes" from your Christmas card session. So cute!

Oops, sorry--forgot to sign my name! The former anonymous post is from me. =)

P.S. The word I must type now is "berme".

TOOO FUNNY! I love this post! What a great idea! You're lucky MaeBee did so well.... Toby refuses to look at a camera, never mind donning a bow & hat!! :)

Oh btw, my word is 'joyeen'... it is the whiney voice of someone trying to convince another to 'JOIN' a club!
