Ultra hip.

Librarians.

That's right. Librarians. (You'll need a New York Times account to read this article...or two seconds to sign up for a free account.)

Have I ever mentioned how much I adore my job?

*On a personal note: If you are the praying kind, please keep me in your prayers. (Prayer=248.3, if you're into the Dewey Decimal System...)

Now I know why everything seems so loud...we have "librarian ears" :-)

Great article, I hope all your readers will link to it and read it!

Fun article! Are you going to get the tatoo "of the logo from the Federal Depository Library Program?" That would be SO COOL!! I guess you could use some version of ear-plugs as a sort of bizarro-hearing aide if you were to go to a concert. Is there really a such thing as librarian school?

I totally wore sun block. Lots of it. I felt like a complete geezer while putting it on, but I reminded myself that I didn't want a sunburn. And what did I get? Exactly that. Why even bother? May as well be reckless.

Also, you're job just doesn't compare to mine. I mean, I've got a newer phone than you...and I don't have to stand up very often...and my ear gets sore from the headset...and we get to make 'sucking blue whale' references.
